A group of scientists is studying the brain of the girl Teresa Fidalgo.
Teresa Fidalgo died on a tragic road accident a few years ago. Since then, many people report to have seen her spirit wander around lonely roads at night. Some of them even testify to have taken the spirit of the girl in their cars, only to see it screaming and disappear when the car takes a given road turn.
Applying advanced CAT scan techniques, scientists are trying to get a low-level map of the little girl's brain cortex, which is conserved intact after the accident. With this procedure, the scientists are trying to artificially replicate Teresa Fidalgo's brain using Convolutional Neural Networks, like the one shown in the figure below. The ultimate goal is to be able to talk to the girl. It is the first time the procedure is applied to a human brain, says the lead scientist (who wishes to remain anonymous), although it has successfully been applied to lab rats.
Many people are opposing to the project, arguing that the only thing scientists will achieve is contacting with the dangerous spirit of Teresa Fidalgo. Scientists discard such a possibility and attribute such comments to illiterate and ignorant people.
Meanwhile, this strange Facebook page has been recently created. It's increasing number of followers report to have received a mysterious message from what they say could be the spirit of Teresa Fidalgo. The message says:
I'll talk to you very soon, but not quite yet..
